💭🌱 Reflections on #WorldMentalHealthDay

With it being World Mental Health Day today, I've been thinking how far we've come in this area- the gradually decreasing stigma, the vast array of views, studies, modalities and interventions, and what I've learned and am still learning both professionally and personally in this field.

Maybe a bit ironically, my thoughts were largely centered around the growing awareness that, despite its term, mental health is not just mental! And that instead, so many different areas are both affected AND can effect our state of mind 💭.

Have you been in pain and struggled to regulate your emotional responses? Have you gone for a walk outside and felt relief even though the circumstances haven't changed? Laughed with a friend, had meaningful time in prayer, lost money vs spent money on something you valued... So much goes into what we think of as "mental" health.

Can you think of any other examples?

Continued awareness of our physical, spiritual, financial, relational wellness all adds to a better quality of life. And then working on improving one of these areas also benefits the others 🙌.

I hope you had a meaningful day today 🤗.

If you're needing assistance with any of these areas, or integrating them! (also essential), I'm available to work through it with you. You can reach out to me here with any questions or to make an appointment.

Gently onward and upward,

P.S. Remember to check out the online store for downloadable resources 🤩🌱. You can find them here.

love that you used ‘affect’ and ‘effect’ correctly! ❤️😍 A good education with a great student who internalises what has been taught, is priceless!! 🥰🥰🥰

I would love to come and see you sometime, but currently, I’m not allowed to drive alone so it, along with other things, will have to wait. 🫣🫣😉

Thanks again for your wonderful messages!

Love
